Opinions on AP/APP People

Note: After so me comments from people, I want to note that these are my generalizations on how AP/AAP people are, and not meant to offend anyone.

Pokemon Haters

Well Pokemon haters can be broken down into different categories. In general most tend to have different reasons why they seem to hate Pokemon. Pretty much all of their reasons tend to be very illogical, and don't have any support to back up their hate for Pokemon. I have NEVER come across a Pokemon hater who has had a good reason to hate Pokemon in all the 6 years that I have been a trainer.

Religious Pokemon Haters:

These are the people who think Pokemon is "evil" and stuff. They tend to be VERY religious people; usually the older people. These people usually know nothing whatsoever about Pokemon. They think that Pokemon has something bad to do with god by the way some Pokemon look, and how they use so called "Magical Powers". For example Pikachu has the tail of a lighting bolt which is a weapon that was used by the Greek god Zeus which he threw at people when they displeased him. Some people apparently find religious things in Pokemon that somehow are "offensive" and "evil" Usually Religious people usually aren\rquote t taken too seriously mainly because they are misunderstood about Pokemon. Here are some other things that they say about Pokemon:

-"Pokemon is evil!"

-"Pokemon stands for pocket demons!"

-"Pokemon controls kids and makes them want to worship them!"

Illogical Pokemon Haters:

These types of haters are the most common types. They are the people who make those really mean and hurtful Anti Pokemon Sites. These people don't even don't even have a real reason to even hate Pokemon. They draw gory pictures of Pokemon and stick them up on their Anti sites. The really sad thing is that most of these people used to love Pokemon... and now they hate it because they might think its "uncool' or because they think they are "too old" to like Pokemon. They are usually the immature people that flame, spam, and hack Pokemon sites. Here are some things that they say about Pokemon:

-"Pokemon is Gay!"

-"All Pokemon Lovers don't have any friends because they like Pokemon!"

-"Pokemon Lovers have no life other than Pokemon!"

-"Pokemon teaches nothing but volience!"

-"Pokemon is just for little ten year olds that need serious mental help!"

-"Pokemon is a dead fad!"

-"The show is so stupid it makes me sick!"

Logical Pokemon Haters:

Well these people are somewhat similar to illogical Pokemon haters, but the only difference is that these people usually are the people who don't go making Anti Pokemon sites and Flaming out other Pokemon Lovers. I have SOME respect for these people because most of them just avoid Pokemon and don't usually say anything to offend someone who likes it. However... though they may not show it or say it, they still have some of the same reasons as illogical Pokemon haters for hating Pokemon. You know like saying "Pokemon is Gay!\rdblquote They usually keep those feelings about Pokemon to themselves which is fine with me. It's not like I'm forcing anyone to love Pokemon, but rather not display their hate the way some people do. Some of their reasons for hating Pokemon are:

-"Pokemon dosen't have any plot to it!"

-"Pokemon trainers are just a bunch of school drop outs!"

-"Pokemon should stopped being made and Nintendo should start making some cool games!"

Pokemon Lovers

Just like Pokemon haters, Pokemon lovers can also be put into categories. Pokemon lovers usually fall under 2 different categories in my view.

Pokemon "fans":

You don't usually see a lot of these kinds of Pokemon fans anymore. We had a lot of these people back in 1998 and 99. These are the people who think Pokemon is "cool" or "in". I had many friends who could fall under this category. This type of person are the ones who try to collect all the Pokemon stuff only because they think Pokemon is "cool" They are not very serious Pokemon trainers/lovers at all, and will usually stop liking Pokemon at some point and become either an logical, or illogical Pokemon haters. Most people back in 1998 and 99 fell under this category (including myself for a little while.)

True Pokemon lovers:

Finally... my favorite section on this page, the Pokemon lovers! These people are the ones who really love Pokemon, and would not ever hate them. I happen to fall under this category like with many other people. Pokemon lovers however hide there love for Pokemon because of the fear of being picked on or made fun of. Now this is a section of Mewtwofan's website that I think perfectly describes what some Pokemon lovers (including myself) go though:

"Imagine having to live , day after day, keeping one of your favorite things secret from everyone: including your best friends and family. To have to be constantly glancing over your shoulder while you are doodling that Pikachu into your sketchbook, or being too scared to take out your Game boy to wile away the time on the bus. To have a good laugh along when somebody insults something you love, or somebody else for loving it, for fear that they'll find out that you actually love it to."

Now that I'm sure describes what many Pokemon lovers have to deal with EVERY SINGLE DAY, and I am no different... I have so much respect for Pokemon lovers, not just because I am one, but because of the hardships we have to deal with everyday, putting up with the insults to Pokemon at school, living in fear that we might be hated/made fun of for liking Pokemon... but all of that does not stop us from loving Pokemon now does it? Pokemon lovers are the true Pokemon trainers!
